Kent Callister (born November 9, 1995 in San Diego ) is an Australian snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Callister has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2010 . He got his first podium finish in January 2011 with third place on the halfpipe at the Burton Am Series on Mount Hood . A month later he won the Enter the Dragon Series at Mount Bachelor on the halfpipe. In the 2011/12 season he won the The Burton Pro Test on Mount Hood in the Rail Jam and on the halfpipe. At the US Revolution Tour in Otsego , he was first in slopestyle and on the halfpipe. He reached second place on the halfpipe at the US Revolution Tour on Mount Snow . He finished the season in 21st place overall in the Tour. He drove his first FIS World Cup race in August 2012 in Cardrona , which he finished in 13th place. At the Snowboard World Championships 2013 in Stoneham he came in 15th place on the halfpipe. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he finished ninth. In January 2015 he took sixth place at the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg . At the last World Cup race of the 2014/15 season, he took third place on the halfpipe in Park City, his first World Cup podium . He finished the season in fourth place in the FIS halfpipe rating. In February 2016 he finished eighth in the halfpipe competition at the X-Games Oslo 2016 . At the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he finished 11th.
