Kerem Görsev
Kerem Görsev (born June 28, 1961 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish jazz pianist and composer .
Live and act
Görsev began taking piano lessons at the municipal conservatory in his hometown at the age of six . He continued his education at the State Conservatory until 1979 before deciding to play jazz. He first played with local and international musicians in the jazz clubs of Istanbul before he released his debut album Hands and Lips in 1994 and performed with his quartet at the Istanbul International Jazz Festival the following year . In 1998 he founded his own jazz club; the following year he played with the Jazz Machine by Elvin Jones .
Görsev mainly formed his own trios and quartets, but also worked with symphony orchestras. He has appeared at numerous international festivals, such as the Münster Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz , Jazz in Marciac , Jazzahead and the Vilnius Jazz Festival .
