Vilnius Jazz Festival
The Vilnius Jazz Festival is the oldest annual jazz - festival in Vilnius , Lithuania . It has been organized since 1987. Vilnius Jazz has a 3-4 day program (concerts, workshops and jam sessions ) and is visited by around 5,000 people annually. Festival founder and artistic director is Antanas Gustys . Many international projects are organized in cooperation with international cultural institutions and foundations, including the Goethe-Institut , British Council , Svenska institutet , Pro Helvetia , US Arts International and Japan Foundation .
The festival is networked across Europe as a member of the European Festival Association and , since 2005, of the Europe Jazz Network .
