Kerry Armstrong

Kerry Michelle Armstrong (born January 3, 1958 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress .

Life

Armstrong made his debut on the television series Marion in 1974 . In the comedy Key Exchange (1985) she played one of the bigger roles on the side of Danny Aiello . She also took on larger roles in the television-produced war drama Come in Spinner (1990) and in the film drama Hunting (1991), which earned her a nomination for the Australian Film Institute Award . The role played in the television series SeaChange from 1998 to 2000 brought her a nomination for the Logie Award in 2000 , which she won after being nominated again a year later. in 2001 she received the Australian Film Institute Award for this role.

In the drama Lantana (2001) Armstrong played the betrayed wife of the police officer Leon Zat ( Anthony LaPaglia ). For this role she received the Australian Film Institute Award in 2001 as well as - together with Barbara Hershey , Rachael Blake and other colleagues - the IF Award . In 2002 she won the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award . In the same year she was nominated for the role in the television series MDA again for the Australian Film Institute Award. The supporting role in the drama Oyster Farmer (2004) earned her another nomination for the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award in 2005. As the leading actress in the musical comedy Razzle Dazzle: A Journey Into Dance (2007), she was nominated for the Australian Film Institute Award in 2007 and the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award in 2008.

In 2018 she participated in the fourth season of the Australian television show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! part.

Armstrong was temporarily married to the musician Brad Robinson , who died in 1996 . She has three children from other relationships.
