I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! is an Australian reality show that has aired on Network Ten since February 2015 . The model is based on the format of the same name from the United Kingdom . The show was moderated by Julia Morris and Chris Brown .

procedure

Unlike the British and German versions, I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! not produced in Australia, but in a studio built especially for the show in the Kruger National Park in South Africa .

Ten people, who have usually already appeared on television, live for several weeks in a so-called jungle camp in Africa under constant observation by television cameras, similar to the Big Brother format . The aim of the participants is to win the favor of the audience and to stay in the camp for as long as possible in order to be chosen as the winner of the "jungle queen" or "jungle king" . The title of the program refers to an exclamation with which the participants can cancel so-called jungle tests or even exit the program directly.

First, ten celebrities moved to the jungle. Every week one or more people are selected and one or more new celebrities are allowed to move into the camp.

One candidate, sometimes two or rarely more than one candidate, has to pass a task every day. This test consists of overcoming frightening or disgusting situations. Other tests are dexterity exercises that must be carried out safely at great heights, above or below water. The candidate must collect red or yellow stars during the exam, which increases food rations for everyone. Each task can be canceled with the exclamation "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!", Whereby the candidate loses the stars earned. The basic supply is only secured by rice and beans.
