Kerschenberg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Reinsberg in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 48 building areas with 18,912 m² and 11 gardens on 44,286 m² in the cadastral community of Kerschenberg , in 1989/1990 there were 49 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 71 and in 2009/2010 there were 60 buildings on 122 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 346 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 255 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 327 hectares and 277 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 318 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 274 hectares. The average soil climate number of Kerschenberg is 23.2 (as of 2010).
