Kerstin Dörhöfer

Kerstin Dörhöfer (* 1943 in Radebeul ) is a German architect , urban planner and university lecturer .

After studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and the Technical University of Vienna , Dörhöfer worked for several years in architecture and urban development. She then worked as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin and a research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin, where she did her doctorate with a thesis on social housing . She taught from 1981 to 1986 the city - and regional development as well as economics and sociology of Urban Design at the Fachhochschule Aachen and from 1986 to 2008 as a professor at the Berlin University of Arts Architecture and Urban Studies .

Dörhöfer has written numerous publications on the history and theory of architecture, urban planning and housing supply as well as gender relations and spatial structures.
