Kerstin Tack
Kerstin Tack (born November 11, 1968 in Wittingen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since January 2018 she has been the spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for labor and social affairs. She has been a member of the German Bundestag since the 2009 Bundestag election .
Professional background
From 1985 to 1988 Kerstin Tack trained as a lawyer and notary assistant in Wittingen. She then completed training as a kindergarten teacher and obtained a technical diploma . From 1992 to 1996 she studied social pedagogy . After completing her studies, she first worked for two years at the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and then for two more years as a youth education officer at the German Trade Union Federation and as the manager of the care association in Hildesheim . From 2001 to 2009 she worked at the Lower Saxony State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family as an advisor to the youth welfare offices .
Political career
From 1988 to 1996 Kerstin Tack was active in the youth association SJD - Die Falken , where she was district chairman in the Hanover district from 1992 to 1996. In 1993 she joined the SPD . From 1993 to 1998 she was a member of the board of the SPD local association List-Süd, where she was deputy chairman until 2010. From 2005 to 2007 she was a board member in the SPD sub-district of Hanover. Tack was a member of the Vahrenwald-List district council from 2005 to 2006 and of the Hanover City Council from 2006 to 2009 , where she was also a member of the parliamentary group executive as spokeswoman for youth policy for the SPD parliamentary group.
Member of the Bundestag
Kerstin Tack has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009. She was directly elected in the constituency of the City of Hannover I in the 2009 , 2013 and 2017 federal elections. In the 19th electoral term, Tack is a full member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee on Food and Agriculture and the Health Committee . From 2014 to 2018 she was the representative for the interests of people with disabilities in the SPD parliamentary group and a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee. Tack has been the spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for labor and social affairs since January 30, 2018.
- No candidacy for the 2021 federal election
In a circular dated August 27, 2020, Kerstin Tack declared that she was not going to run for a new candidate. She wants to reorient herself professionally.
Further activities and memberships
Since November 2014 Kerstin Tack has been Vice President of Special Olympics Germany . Since June 2013 she has also had a seat on the supervisory board of the social department store fairKauf eG Hannover. In 2009, Tack took over the patronage of the List-NordOst neighborhood meeting place, and in January 2016 she also became the patron of the Sahlkamp-Vahrenheide district foundation. Furthermore, Kerstin Tack has been the patron of Homeless Aid Hannover eV since 2018. In addition, Kerstin Tack is involved in the AWO -mit Herz-Stiftung. She is a member of the ver.di union .
