Kevin Corvers (born August 17, 1987 ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Kevin Corvers played in his youth in Oberhausen with the district club SV Adler Osterfeld . He was then part of the club's national league team until 2007, before the central defender moved to VfB Speldorf . The first year with the Mülheimers ended with relegation to the Lower Rhine League, which was followed by immediate promotion to the NRW League at the end of the 2008/09 season . In this very successful season they also reached the final of the Lower Rhine Cup , which they won against the favored Rot-Weiss Essen .

The cup win entitles them to participate in the DFB Cup the following season, where Corvers and his team had to face the district neighbor Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the first round and were clearly defeated by the second division. After he had played the season for Speldorf to the end, he was signed by RWO and accepted into the U-23 team. There he only played in the Niederrheinliga again in the 2010/11 season, but also trained with the first team and came into the squad there. On the 10th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga he came on for the injured Benjamin Reichert and made his professional debut. But then he was very unlucky and suffered an internal ligament injury in his knee before the next game, which ended the first half of the season prematurely. In the second half of the season he was unable to play in the relegation battle.

Nevertheless, after relegation to the 3rd division, he was permanently included in the first team's squad. In the next season it took until the 16th matchday before he got another chance. He was on the starting line-up for the first time, but after earning an early yellow card he was substituted at half-time so as not to risk being sent off.

In summer 2012 Corvers moved to TV Jahn Hiesfeld in the Oberliga Niederrhein .
