Kevin Santiago Quintero Chavarro (born October 28, 1998 in Palmira ) is a Colombian track cyclist who specializes in the short-term disciplines.

Athletic career

In 2015 Kevin Quintero won his first international medal when he won silver in the junior 1000 meter time trial at the Pan American Championships. The following year he won four medals at the Pan-American track championships, two golds (in the time trial and in the team sprint ), silver in the sprint and bronze in the keirin .

In 2018 Quintero started in the elite. At the South American Games he won the team sprint and bronze in the sprint together with Fabián Puerta and Rubén Murillo . He won other medals at the Central American and Caribbean Games and the Pan American Championships . At the continental championships, he set a new record over 1000 meters with 58.657 seconds. He was also the Colombian champion in sprint and time trial. In the overall Keirin ranking of the 2018/19 World Cup , he finished ninth.

In 2019, Quintero became Pan American Champion in Keirin and also won the Pan American Games in Lima in this discipline .
