Khairul Hafiz Jantan (born July 22, 1998 in Malacca ) is a Malaysian athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Khairul Hafiz Jantan gained his first international experience at the 2015 World Youth Championships in Cali , where he reached the semifinals over 100 and 200 meters. In 2016, at the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City , he won the gold medal over 100 meters in 10.36 s and silver over 200 meters in 21.15 s and also with the Malaysian 4 times 100 in 39.91 s Meter relay. He then took part over 100 meters in the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , and was eliminated there with 10.58 s in the semifinals. In 2017 he took part in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar over 100 meters and was disqualified in the final due to a false start. In addition, he finished fifth with the Malaysian relay in 39.98 s. He then won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur in 10.38 s and was fourth over 200 meters in 21.28 s. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and finished seventh with the Malaysian relay. At the end of August, he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and made it to the semi-finals in the 100-meter run , in which he was eliminated with 10.45 s. He was also disqualified from the Malaysian relay. In 2019 he retired from the Summer Universiade in Naples with 10.70 s in advance and did not make it to the finals with the season with 40.28 s. In December he won the silver medal with the relay behind Thailand in 39.78 s at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas .

In 2016 Jantan was the Malaysian champion over 200 meters and with the 4 x 100 meter relay and in 2017 again over 200 meters.
