Khalanga ( Nepali खलङ्गा ) is a small town and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Jajarkot district of western Nepal .
In 2015, three neighboring communities were merged with Khalanga to form the newly founded city of Bherimalika . Khalanga lies above the Bheri river valley at an altitude of 1225 m . Khalanga is the seat of the district administration.
Residents
At the 2011 census, Khalanga had 12,186 inhabitants (6,069 male) in 2,523 households.
