Khalanga ( Nepali खलङ्गा ; also Musikot Khalanga ) is a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Rukum district in western Nepal .
Khalanga lies above the Sani Bheri river valley at an altitude of 1500 m . The district administration is located in VDC Khalanga. The place has an airfield, the Musikot Airport .
At the 2011 census, Khalanga had 13,203 inhabitants (6,394 men) in 3,279 households.
At the end of 2014, Khalanga was merged with the neighboring Sankha to form the newly founded city of Musikot .
