Khiry Robinson (* 28. December 1989 in Midland , Texas ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He is currently under contract with the Bolzano Giants in the Italian Football League .
college
Robinson joined in the course of his college career first for the Mesabi Range College in Minnesota , then for the Blinn College in Texas , where he played with the later Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton and finally for the West Texas A&M University .
NFL
New Orleans Saints
In the NFL Draft 2013 he was not considered, but he was signed on May 13 by the New Orleans Saints as a free agent , through good performance in preparation, he made it into the team. As a replacement for starter Mark Ingram , he received comparatively little playing time in his first two seasons.
In the 2015 season, Robinson scored four touchdowns in the first seven games , but broke his tibia in the following game and was out for the rest of the season.
New York Jets
On March 10, Robinson signed a contract with the New York Jets. After breaking his leg in the last match of the preseason , he was released on September 4, 2016. On September 7th he was signed again by the Jets. Robinson was finally released on March 9, 2017.
Further career
In the summer of 2018, Robinson was signed by the Toronto Argonauts , a Canadian Football League club , but was dismissed a little later. After a few days, however, he was released again. He then played for the San Antonio Commanders in the short-lived professional league Alliance of American Football .
For the 2020 season, Robinson signed a contract with the Bolzano Giants, who play in the Italian Football League . However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championship was initially postponed and finally canceled at all.
