Ki Hong Lee (born September 30, 1986 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a Korean- American actor .

Life

Ki Hong Lee was born in the capital of South Korea , Seoul , in September 1986 . He grew up there until he was 6 years old before he and his family emigrated to Auckland , New Zealand . Lee learned the English language there . Two years later the family moved to Los Angeles . From 2004 to 2008 he attended the University of California, Berkeley .

He made his acting debut in 2010 in a number of guest appearances on the television series Victorious , The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Modern Family . Lee landed a lead role in the short-lived ABC Family television series The Nine Lives of Chloe King in 2011 as Paul . He then had other guest appearances and was seen in several short films by Wong Fu Productions .

His international breakthrough came in 2014 with the role of Minho in the science fiction film Maze Runner - The Chosen in the Labyrinth , which is based on the novel The Chosen - In the Labyrinth by James Dashner . He was also seen again in the 2015 sequel Maze Runner - The Chosen in the Burning Desert , as well as in 2018 in Maze Runner - The Chosen in the Death Zone .

On March 7, 2015, he married Ha Young Choi.
