Communities Achslach

The Kieselmühlbach is a creek about 2.8 km long in the municipality of Achslach in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . It flows into the Teisnach around 200 meters west of Bachlehen .

course

The Kieselmühlbach rises in the nature reserve Birkenbruchwald Oed north of the village of Oed . After the union of its three source streams on the edge of the nature reserve, the stream crosses under the REG14 district road and leaves the village of Weghof behind to the right and west . South of the hamlet of Aign , the stream branches off for more than 400 meters, only to reunite immediately behind the Kieselmühle. The southern branch of the stream runs significantly higher in this area and contains a pond. This indicates that the southern branch is the former canal with mill pond branched off at the Mühlenstau . After passing the former mill Kieselmühle, which gave the stream its name, the Kieselmühlbach flows into the Teisnach at Bachlehen.

valley

There are no major hiking trails in the Kieselmühlbachtal. Only a few forest paths cross the Kieselmühlbachtal. There are only a few villages and a desert in the valley. These are Aign, Rimbeck , Weghof and die Einöde Kieselmühle.
