Kilómetro Doce (short form: Km 12 ) (long form: Kilómetro Doce a Cochabamba = kilometer 12 to Cochabamba) was a small town in the Santa Cruz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Kilómetro Doce was the central place of the canton Km 12 in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) La Guardia in the province of Andrés Ibáñez . The city is located on the right bank of the Río Piraí at an altitude of 458 m . The canton Km 12 borders in the east directly on the outskirts of the metropolis Santa Cruz and in the southwest on the canton La Guardia . With the effect of the 2012 census, Kilómetro Doce is no longer listed as an independent village, but has become part of the city of La Guardia .

Kilómetro Doce is located in a tropical humid climate on the eastern edge of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental . The region was covered by subtropical rainforest before colonization , but is now mostly cultivated land .
The mean average temperature of the region is just under 24 ° C (see climate diagram Santa Cruz), the monthly values fluctuate between 20 ° C in June / July and a good 26 ° C from October to December.
