Kily González (* 4. August 1974 in Rosario as Cristian Alberto Gonzalez Peret ) is a former Argentine football player .

González acted in the left midfield, played accurate passes and was very strong in tackling.

Career

He started his career as a professional footballer in Argentina in 1992 with Rosario Central , after which he played a season with Boca Juniors in 1995 . After the 1996 season, Real Zaragoza signed him , from where he moved to Valencia CF in 1999 . There he was the Spanish Supercup winner in 1999 and Spanish champion in 2002. From 2003 González played at Inter Milan and won the Coppa Italia in 2005. He returned to his homeland in 2006 and has since played for Rosario Central again. In 2009 he moved to CA San Lorenzo .

He made his debut for the Argentina national team in June 1999 against Mexico. In 2002 he took part in the World Cup, at the Copa America 2004 he scored a goal against eventual winners Brazil in the final and won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens . He was not nominated for the 2006 World Cup .
