Career

Tandberg, who started for Vikersund IF , joined the Norwegian B-team in 2002 and started in the ski jumping Continental Cup for the first time in August 2002 . In March 2003 he managed to jump into the points twice in Stryn , which meant for him 158th place overall for the 2002/03 season . However, Tandberg did not make it into the A-squad and only started in his home country for the time being in the Continental Cup. He was also used in the FIS Cup .

At the Norwegian Summer Championships in 2004 in Rælingen , he secured his first and only national title from the normal hill ahead of Tom Hilde and Kim René Elverum Sorsell . At the Norwegian Nordic Ski Championships 2005 in Lillehammer , he won the silver medal in the team competition as Team Buskerud together with Tommy Egeberg , Jan Ottar Andersen and Ole Kristian Ramstad . In summer 2006 he won silver behind Gard Sandholt .

On October 8, 2006, he achieved his best career result in this series as third at the FIS Cup in Einsiedeln and also jumped the only international competition outside of Norway. In December 2007 he was used again at the FIS Cup in Notodden and competed in both competitions, which he finished as 13th in his last international competitions. For some time he was still active on the national level, jumping in the Norges Cup .

In addition to his ski jumping career, Tandberg played football for the second team of Geithus IL for some time in the 2000s .
