Kim Do-yeon (born September 2, 1993 ) is a South Korean long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Kim Do-yeon gained her first international experience at the Youth World Championships 2009 in Brixen , where she finished eighth in the 3000 meter run in 9: 44.15 minutes. In 2012 she took part in the Junior World Championships in Barcelona over 5000 meters and was 13th there. In 2014 she took part for the first time in the Asian Games in Incheon , where she was eleventh over 5000 meters and tenth in the 10,000 meter run in 34: 47.31 minutes . Two years later she first took part in a marathon race in Seoul, where she finished twelfth in 2:37:18. The following year she won the marathon and came second in the Gyeonggi Half Marathon. In 2018 she took part again in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she finished sixth in the marathon in 2:39:28 h .

In 2016, Kim became the South Korean champion in the 5000 meter run .
