Kim Hyung-joon (born April 27, 1987 in Seoul ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been playing again at High1 in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2016 .

Career

Kim Hyung-joon began his career as a hockey player on the Kyungsung High School team. From 2010 he played for High1 in the Asia League Ice Hockey . In the 2013/14 season he reached the playoff games with his team for the first time. After playing for the newly formed Daemyung Sangmu team from 2014 to 2016 , he returned to High1 in 2016.

International

Kim Hyung-joon already took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2004 (Division I) and 2005 (Division II) for South Korea .

For the senior national team of the Asian country, he was on the ice at the World Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2014 . In 2012, he scored the decisive 3-2 winner against hosts Poland , with which the East Asians were promoted to the A group of Division I. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , when the South Koreans narrowly failed the British team in the first qualifying round tournament in Nikkō, Japan , although they won the direct comparison 5-4 after a penalty shoot-out.
