Kim Yong-hwa (born September 25, 1971 in Chuncheon , South Korea ) is a South Korean director , screenwriter and producer.

Kim studied film at Chung-Ang University and has already received attention for his graduation project, the short film Jaban Godeungeo ('Salted Mackerel', international title: In the Jungle , 1999). His first film Oh! Brothers (2003) starring Lee Jung-jae and Lee Beom-soo was a hit in theaters. He made a name for himself as a director of intelligent feature films with laughter and moral messages. His next film, the comedy 200 Pounds Beauty (2006), reached more than six million moviegoers.
