The Kinloch River ( Scottish Gaelic Amhainn Ceann Locha ) is a stream in the Scottish Highlands. It is located in the Highland Council Area in traditional Sutherland County . The Kinloch River is part of the protected landscape Kyle of Tongue National Scenic Area .
The source of the Kinloch River is Loch an Dherue . The brook leaves the lake on its north bank and flows from there in a northerly direction through an almost completely uninhabited valley to flow into the Kyle of Tongue bay after about 6 km .
The stream is a fishing area where salmon in particular can be caught.
