The baroque hall church was built after the previous building was destroyed in a devastating fire in the village on August 29, 1726 . The foundation stone was laid on September 15, 1728, the consecration on November 5, 1730. The church was renovated in 1816, 1879 and most recently in 1991. The narrow nave has three axes and is covered with a slate-covered gable roof. The long sides have narrow high windows, as does the ground floor of the choir tower . The massive choir tower has four storeys and has a slate-covered dome topped by a lantern .

The organ with 11 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built around 1760 by Andreas Nicolaus Francke from Leutenberg.
