description

The hall church with the low rectangular choir tower was built in the 17th century. It was rebuilt in 1640 and 1741. Parts of the Romanesque predecessor building are integrated on the north and west sides . Two church bells hang in the choir tower in the east , the older one was cast on September 9, 1391. It is covered with a hipped roof on which a ridge sits. The interior , which is covered by a wooden beam ceiling , has galleries on three sides , and two-storey on the long sides. The simple pulpit altar forms the center of the sacred space. The organ built by the Vogler company from Naumburg in 1741 was rebuilt and expanded in 1864. It now has nine registers , divided between a manual and the pedal . A carved epitaph for the Electoral Saxon Captain Christoph Heinrich von Beschwitz can be seen with military equipment.
