Career

Akalski began his career with Mariza Plovdiv in his hometown of Plovdiv . After playing in the youth team there until 2004, he was in the team's professional squad from 2004 to 2008. In 2008 he moved to the city rival Lokomotive Plovdiv . There he was in the squad from 2008 to 2010. In 2010 he moved to Levski Sofia. There he got the shirt number 85. At Levski he came in the 2010/11 season as a deputy of first Georgi Petkow , then Boschidar Mitrew and finally Plamen Iliew only to three missions. In early 2012 he left the Beroe Stara Sagora club . There he was initially a substitute behind Iwailo Ivanov . In the 2012/13 season he was first number one in goal, but lost that place in the second half of the season to Ivan Karadschow .

In the summer of 2013 Akalski returned to Lokomotive Plovdiv, but came there in the 2013/14 season only to five missions behind Iordan Gospodinow . He decided to move to FC Rakowski in the B Grupa . There he had a permanent place in the team and was signed by first division club FK Chaskowo in early 2015 . Here, however, only the role of reservist remained behind Nikolai Bankow . At the end of the 2014/15 season he was relegated with his team.

Akalski moved to FC Unterföhring in the Bayernliga Süd in summer 2015 . There he initially had his place in goal before he was replaced by Sebastian Fritz in the second half of the season. After a season he joined the SFC Etar Veliko Tarnowo , who played in the B Grupa. He was an integral part of the team that rose at the end of the 2016/17 season . In the upper house he had to vacate his place for the newly signed Christo Ivanov .

In early 2018 he returned to his home club Maritsa Plovdiv, who played in the B Grupa.
