Kirill Alexandrowitsch Schcherbakov ( Russian Кирилл Александрович Щербаков , scientific transliteration Kirill Aleksandrovič Ščerbakov ; born June 12, 1985 in Jepischino, Krasnoyarsk region ) is a Russian biathlete .

Kirill Shcherbakov first competed in the Junior World Cup in Brussels in 2004 and finished ninth in the sprint. Shortly afterwards, he first appeared in a Junior World Championship in Haute-Maurienne . After finishing only 33rd in the sprint, he was able to improve to 12th in the pursuit. With the relay, the Russian just missed a medal in fourth. In the following season he achieved his first place on the podium in Obertilliach in third place. At the European Junior Championships in Novosibirsk in 2005 , Shcherbakov won his first bronze medal in an individual at an international championship. There was also a fifth place in the sprint and a ninth place in the pursuit. The Junior World Championship of the year in Presque Isle was also successful. In the sprint he finished ninth, in the pursuit Shcherbakov was twelfth. With the Russian relay he was able to win the silver medal. At his last European Junior Championships in 2006 in Langdorf , he finished fifth and was twelfth in the pursuit.

Shcherbakov has been in the men's division since 2006. In his European Cup debut in Obertilliach he finished 30th, but was able to improve to ninth place in the pursuit. Shortly afterwards he achieved his best result in the same place as eighth in the sprint. In his other races he did not achieve any results worth mentioning, after the 2006/07 season he no longer competed.

Shcherbakov was able to achieve success at the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute Maurienne. In the roller-ski competition, he first won the bronze medal behind local heroes Simon Fourcade and Vincent Defrasne and left three other French behind him. In the pursuit race he lost two places. With the mixed relay he was fourth on the side of Maria Kossinowa , Nadeschda Tschastina and Michail Kotschkin .
