Kirill Sergejewitsch Skatschkow ( Russian Кирилл Сергеевич Скачков ; born August 6, 1987 in Novokuznetsk ) is a Russian table tennis player . He became vice-European champion in doubles in 2011 and took part in the Olympic Games once.

Career

Skachkov played in the Russian clubs CSKA WWS Samara, DESP Vladivostok, Gazprom Fakel Orenburg and Victoria Moscow. He achieved his first international successes in youth tournaments. In doubles with Stanislav Golovanov he was second at the Junior World Championships 2005 in Linz and third at the European Youth Championships 2007 in Prague. At the JEM in Prague he also reached the semi-finals in mixed with Julia Prokhorova .

In the 2008/09 season he was with the team Gazprom Fakel Orenburg Russian champion, which entitled to participate in the ETTU Cup . The team won this in 2009/10.

From 2005 (to 2013) Skachkov took part in all world championships for Russia . He reached sixth place with the team in 2006 and 2010 . In 2011 he won the silver medal at the European Championships in doubles with Alexander Schibajew . A year later he finished second in the European ranking tournament Europe TOP-12 . In 2013 he won bronze at the European Championships with the Russian team, at the 2015 European Championships he won bronze in doubles.

In 2012 he qualified for participation in the Olympic Games, namely for the team competition. With the Russian team he came in ninth.

In 2011 he moved from Victoria Moscow to the German Bundesliga to TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen , and in 2015 he was signed by Werder Bremen . In 2017 he moved to the French first division club Jura Morez TT.

Private

Kirill Skatschkow is married to table tennis player Irina Skatschkowa, who plays with DJK Offenburg in the women's 2nd division.
