The Kirkeler Bach is a 7 km long, northern and orographically left tributary of the Würzbach in Saarland .

The Kirkeler Bach rises in the natural area of St. Ingberter Senke . Its source is in the north of the district of Kirkel-Neuhäusel between the Mannheim – Saarbrücken railway and the Saarbrücken - Mannheim motorway . It first flows through the Neuhäuseler Arm nature reserve , then it crosses under the Mannheim – Saarbrücken railway line and takes on the Greta Bruchgraben from the right . He passes under a traffic roundabout and then takes the Weidentalgraben . In the further course it follows the state road L 113 to Lautzkirchen in the Sankt Ingbert-Kirkeler forest area . In Lautzkirchen it first takes in the Reitchtalbach and then the Schwarzweiher river , finally it flows into the Würzbach at the end of the Brunnenstrasse and this flows into the Blies after 800 meters .

In addition to the Neuhäuseler Arm nature reserve, the Kirkeler Bach also flows through the Kirkeler Bachtal nature reserve in the section between Kirkel and Lautzkirchen . The protective purpose is named:

“... the preservation and promotion of a stream valley typical for [this] natural area [...] with rare plant and animal communities. In particular, the communities of nutrient-poor locations should be protected and secured. "
