Kirthana Ramasamy gained her first experience in international competitions at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 12.37 m. Then she finished fourth at the Youth Asian Games in Nanjing with 12.23 m. The following year she reached the Junior Asian Championships in Taipei with 5.38 m and 12.84 m, places eleven and four in the long and triple jump. Then she retired at the Junior World Championships in Eugene with 12.32 m in qualification and was at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing with 12.64 m fifth. BothAt the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore , she took fifth place with a width of 12.87 m. In 2016 she won the Asian Junior Championships in Ho Chi Minh City in the triple jump with 13.20 m and was eighth in the triple jump with 5.81 m. She qualified again for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where she was eliminated with 12.68 m in the first round. The following year she finished fourth and ninth at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with 13.19 m and 5.66 m.
In 2019 she took part in the Asian Championships in Doha for the first time , where she finished fifth with 13.33 m. In December she was fifth in the triple jump at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas with 13.11 m and sixth place in the long jump with 5.73 m.
