The Kistenstöckli ( Rhaeto-Romanic Muot da Rubi ) is a table mountain in the Glarus Alps in Switzerland ( 2747 m above sea level ) above the Vorderrhein Valley . The mountain is characterized by its flattened shape. The summit lies on the border of the cantons of Glarus and Graubünden and offers a view of the Frisal valley and the Limmerensee , among other things . The Bifertenhütte is at the foot of the Kistenstöckli and the Kistenpass is in close proximity .
The ascent is secured by chains directly below the summit and can be made from Brigels .
