The Bifertenhütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Academic Alpine Club Basel (AACB) in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland .
It is located north of Brigels at the foot of the 2745 m above sea level. M. high Kistenstöcklis at 2482 m above sea level. M. in the Bündner / Glarus Alps . The hut is actually named after the Bifertenstock . The hut offers 24 beds and is manned in summer. The Bifertenhütte is particularly popular as a starting point for mountain hikes, mountaineering, glacier tours, etc.
Accesses
- Breil / Brigels via Alp Quader (chairlift) in approx. 2.5 hours
- Linthal via Tierfehd (with the cable car to Kalktrittli) to the Muttseehütte and over the Kistenpass ( 2740 m above sea level ) to the Bifertenhütte in approx. 4.5 hours
- from the Fridolinshütte in approx. 5 hours (only for mountaineers)
- from the Puntegliashütte - Val Frisal plateau - in approx. 5.5 hours (only for mountaineers)
- from the Panixerpass (only partially marked) in approx. 4 hours
