The steam locomotive series kkStB 46 was a freight train - Tender locomotive series of the kkStB , originally from the Archduke Albrecht-Bahn (EAB), from the Moravian Border Railway (MGB), from the First Hungarian-Galician Railway (EUGE), from the Hungarian Western Railway (UWB) and from the Lemberg-Chernivtsi-Jassy Railway (LCJE).
The locomotives were delivered by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik and by Sigl in Vienna from 1872 to 1889 to the private railways listed above. The table shows different dimensions before and after equipping with stronger boilers.
At the kkStB they formed row 46 . Their origins were as follows:
- 46.01–16 came from the EAB.
- 46.17 was previously kkStB 55.01 and originally came from MGB, of which it was No. 11.
- 48.18–25, 29–36 came from the EUGE.
- 48.26–28 came from the UWB.
- 48.37–43 finally came from the LCJE.
After the First World War , three more locomotives, the UWB machines, came to the BBÖ , which they retired by 1929.
