The Klapsmühl 'at the town hall is a cabaret in Mannheim .

Today it is one of the renowned and established cabaret and comedy theaters in Germany. The house ensemble Cabaret Shower does political cabaret and brings out a new program every October. The program also includes in-house productions of comedies and comedies such as B. Loriot programs or Heinz Erhardt reviews. The small theater offers space for 145 people. It is played on around 240 days a year.

history

The cabaret shower was founded in 1976 by Klaus-Jürgen Hoffmann and Wolfgang Schmitter. The main venues were initially the Haus der Jugend and the Alte Feuerwache . In 1981 they were honored with the first cabaret award from the state of Baden-Württemberg . One year later, their own venue, the Klapsmühl 'at the town hall, was inaugurated. The biggest success was Spiel's Sam again , based on a Woody Allen comedy that was almost always sold out from 1987 to 1990. Today the shower is considered to be one of the longest-serving ensemble cabarets, playing in front of more than 500,000 spectators.
