Klaus Borchard

Klaus Borchard (born March 1, 1938 in Münster ) is a German architect , urban planner and university lecturer . Borchard is former rector of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and former vice-president of the university rectors' conference .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1958, Klaus Borchard studied architecture and urban planning at the Technical University of Munich . There he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. in 1958. Agilolfia in the CV , later also other CV connections. After completing his studies, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Urban Development and Housing Munich of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning from 1964 to 1966 . In 1990 Borchard became dean of the agricultural faculty at the University of Bonn, and from 1992 to 1994 he was vice dean . 1997 to 2004 Klaus Borchard was rector of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. From 1998 to 2002 he was Vice President of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK).

Borchard has been a member of the German Council for Land Care since 1983, and from 1991 to 2005 he was a managing director.
