Klaus Budde (born September 14, 1945 in Remscheid ) is a former German football player.

Career

The midfielder and striker won the final of the German Amateur Championship with Marathon Remscheid in 1968 . For the 1968/69 round he joined Fortuna Düsseldorf in what was then the second -rate regional football league West . He played 117 Bundesliga games, mainly as a midfielder for Fortuna Düsseldorf , scoring 30 goals. In season 1970/71 he joined the club from the Regional League West in the Bundesliga on. In the regional league, he was tied with champions VfL Bochum on points with Fortuna and completed 29 league games in which he scored eleven goals alongside other players such as Reiner Geye , Dieter Herzog and Egon Köhnen . He played all eight games in the 1971 promotion against Borussia Neunkirchen, FC St. Pauli, 1. FC Nürnberg and Wacker 04 Berlin and contributed two goals to promotion. In the Bundesliga he reached third place in the championship in 1973 and 1974 . Budde played all 34 Bundesliga games in 1973 and was the second-best Fortuna goalscorer in coach Heinz Lucas' team with 14 goals . In the rounds of 1973/74 and 1974/75 he also gained international experience in the games for the UEFA Cup . In 1975 he ended his professional career after another 18 Bundesliga games with three goals.
