Klaus Eichmann
Klaus Eichmann (born March 5, 1939 in Kassel ) is a German physician and immunologist who was director at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology for many years .
Life
Eichmann studied medicine and received his doctorate from the University of Marburg . From 1968 to 1971 he conducted research at Rockefeller University in New York. From 1971 to 1975 he worked at the Institute for Genetics at the University of Cologne , and from 1975 to 1981 he conducted research at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. Subsequently, until his retirement in 2004, he was director at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology in Freiburg / Breisgau.
From 2008 to 2010 he was an arbitration advisor to the Max Planck Society . He is an external member of the Polish Academy of Learning (PAU) in Cracow .
