Klaus Grebasch (born November 18, 1947 in Bahro ) is a former German soccer player.

Career

The striker played from the 1968/69 season in the North Season for the GDR league club BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt . During this season he was promoted to the GDR league with Eisenhüttenstadt , with Grebasch scoring one goal in his six missions. In the following season he came to 11 competitive appearances with one hit. As bottom of the table followed the immediate sporting relegation to the GDR league and there at the beginning of the 1970/71 season because of "inadmissible material benefits" the forced relegation to the district league Frankfurt (Oder).

After rising again, he achieved 2nd place in the league season B in 1971/72 with Eisenhüttenstadt; in the promotion round to the league, however, the team could not prevail. Then Grebasch moved to BSG Energie Cottbus , where he became a regular player. In the season 1972/73 succeeded after the 2nd place in the league season B also an equal place in the promotion round, whereby Grebasch failed in the 1-1 against the ASG forward Stralsund with a penalty to Dieter Schönig . "Club" Grebasch was used in all 30 games and scored seven goals.

In the league season 1973/74 Grebasch played in 25 of the 26 games, but only got three hits. The bottom of the league was relegated to the second division. In this season Cottbus reached in FDGB Cup semi-final, where against FC Carl Zeiss Jena eliminated. In the 1974/75 league season Grebasch was in 28 of the 30 competitive games on the field and scored 14 goals. The Cottbussers dominated the league season D and came in the promotion round to a second place eligible for promotion.

Grebasch was in all 26 league games in the 1975/76 season and scored six goals. The upper league year ended the Cottbusser again as bottom of the table. After relegation Grebasch left the Cottbusser and moved to the district league club BSG Motor Robur Zittau in 1976. There he established himself in midfield and played in the years 1978/79 and 1981/82 each for one season in the second-highest division. In 1986 Klaus Grebasch ended his active sporting career.

Grebasch lives in Zittau . He is married and has three children, his son Kai acts as the press spokesman for the city of Zittau. Together with his wife Christine, he has been running a textile cleaning company in Zittau since the 1970s.
