Klaus Hackert

Klaus Hackert (born February 10, 1938 in Heilbronn ) is a German master gas and water plumber, craftsman and local politician ( CDU ).

Life

Hackert completed an apprenticeship as a flasher and plumber in his parents' company, Hackert GmbH & Co. in Heilbronn. After acquiring his master craftsman's certificate, he became a partner in the business in 1967 and ran it from 1973 to 2004. His son Ralf has been running the business since then, and Klaus Hackert only helps out in the office by the hour when it is urgently needed.

From 1969 onwards, Klaus Hackert worked on a voluntary basis in numerous professional committees in the trade. From 1969 to 1978 he was head master of the Heilbronn sanitary, heating and air conditioning guild, from 1970 to 1977 deputy master craftsman of the district, 1972 to 1978 board member of the professional association of sanitary heating and air conditioning Baden-Württemberg, from 1974 board member and 1977 to 2004 president of the Heilbronn Chamber of Crafts .

From 1994 to 2004 Hackert was a member of the board of the German Chamber of Crafts , and from 1996 to 2004 he was also Vice President of the Central Association of German Crafts . At the state level, he was President of the Baden-Württemberg Crafts Day from 1995 to 2005 and Deputy Chairman of the Working Group of the Chamber of Crafts in Baden-Württemberg. From 1979 to 2005 he was a member of the Broadcasting Council of the SDR and later of the SWR .

In 2004 and 2005 Hackert withdrew from all honorary positions with the exception of local politics. He has been a member of the Heilbronn municipal council for the CDU since 1975 and was deputy parliamentary group chairman from 1980 to 1989.

Private

Hackert's marriage to his wife Inge had four children, including his son Ralf, who has been running his parents' business since 2004.

Awards

In 1987, Klaus Hackert received the gold trade mark. The city of Heilbronn honored him in 1988 with their golden coin and in 2008 with the ring of honor of the city of Heilbronn. He received the Federal Cross of Merit in 1994 in the 1st class version and again in 2005 as the Grand Federal Cross of Merit. In 1998, the Prime Minister honored him with the Staufer Medal for services to the state of Baden-Württemberg . In 2001 he also received the Business Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg , in 2003 the Golden Ring of Honor from the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Crafts, and in 2005 the Golden Merit Badge of the Baden-Württemberg City Council. In 2004 the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Crafts appointed him honorary president.
