Huber made his debut in the ski jumping world cup on January 3, 1988 in Innsbruck . On February 16, 1990, Huber was able to win World Cup points for the first time in Predazzo with 14th place on the normal hill. In ski flying on the Kulm , he achieved 7th place on February 24, 1991, the highest individual placement of his career. He finished the 1990/91 season in 28th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the ski flying rating, he took 15th place. From December 1991 Huber jumped in parallel in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . In the Continental Cup season 1993/94 he was able to achieve 3rd place in the overall standings. In the World Cup in March 1994 in Lahti , he once again won points. In 1995 Huber ended his active ski jumping career.
