Klaus Kreppel

Klaus Kreppel (* 1944 ) is a German historian .

Life

Klaus Kreppel studied history, theology and social sciences in Frankfurt am Main and graduated with a state examination and doctorate from Iring Fetscher . He worked as a history teacher and initiated a student exchange as part of the city partnership between Bielefeld and Nahariya in 1988 and published on the history of the Jeckes , the German-speaking immigrants in Israel.

Klaus Kreppel was co-author of numerous publications on sociological and educational topics. His systematic research on the life of German immigrants in Israel was scientifically supported by the Institute for Jewish Studies at the University of Basel .

Awards

  • 2005 Honorary diploma from the city of Nahariya for the life's work of Klaus Kreppel on the occasion of 70 years of Nahariya 1935–2005
  • 2007 Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for his services to the reconciliation between Germans and Israelis
  • 2015 Badge of Honor of the City of Bielefeld for his services to the partnership between Bielefeld and Nahariya
