Klaus Minkel

Klaus Minkel (born April 26, 1948 in Münden ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He belonged to the 15th German Bundestag (last session on September 28, 2005) as a member of constituency 178 ( Wetterau and Kinzigtal ), elected via the state list. He was no longer a member of the 16th Bundestag because - as in the 15th legislative period - he was unable to prevail over Nina Hauer on the first vote. His place on the list was also insufficient for re-election.

Political career

The lawyer and trained administrative specialist was an electoral officer in Bad Vilbel for 19 years . There he worked as a treasurer , first city councilor and head of the municipal utilities . Since 2000 he has been the full-time managing director of Stadtwerke Bad Vilbel.

Since November 1, 2007, Klaus Minkel is no longer chairman of the CDU city association Bad Vilbel. As a member of the Bundestag, he succeeded Christian Schwarz-Schilling , former Minister. D.

Work in Berlin

As rapporteur u. a. For the promotion of home ownership in the Committee for Transport, Building and Housing, Klaus Minkels paid particular attention to receiving the home ownership allowance . Another topic was the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan of the Red-Green government.

Minkel was a full member of the Committee for Transport , Building and Housing, Construction East and a deputy member of the Budget Committee.
