Klaus Rainer Goll

Klaus Rainer Goll (born July 2, 1945 in Lübeck ) is a German teacher and writer .

Life

Goll worked as a secondary school teacher until 2008. In addition, since 1965 he has mainly published poems and short prose , initially in the Lübecker Nachrichten . For his work he received the Golden Quill Poetry Prize in 1974 , the Short Prose Prize of the Literary Union in 1977, the Culture Prize of the Duchy of Lauenburg Foundation in 1985 and the Heinrich Mann Plaque in 1986 . He also initiated encounters between authors from East and West. In 1980 he founded the Lübeck Authors' Circle , which he also serves as its chairman, and published the anthology treffpunkte from 1986 to 1999 . In 2008 he was honored by the Possehl Foundation for his efforts to promote the cultural life of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. In Ivory publishing house published four of his books of poetry: This short life (1997) in the series lyricism of the new millennium, the sea is everywhere (2000) with watercolors by Julia Kuhl and time passes (2005) with pencil drawings of the author. Wind Stunden (1973), his poetry debut, which he dedicated to Katja Mann , appeared in a new edition in 2009 with an afterword by Hans Wißkirchen .

In December 2010, Goll was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.
