Klaus Stein

Klaus Stein (born June 8, 1890 in Fraulautern ; † May 28, 1974 ) was a German politician ( DG , GB / BHE ).

Life and work

After graduating from the upper secondary school, Stein first attended the mountain school, later switched to the war school and became an officer (most recently major ). Subsequently, he held a leading position in heavy industry (1943 to 1945 defense officer of the Krupp company (Essen) in Breslau). After the end of the war, he became involved in the movement of expellees and became chairman of the Association of Expellees in the Fulda district .

Political party

Stein was a member of the Sturmabteilung , but, according to his own statements, resigned from it because of the " Röhmputsch ".

After the Second World War , Stein joined the German community and became district chairman in 1948. He was a co-founder of the GB / BHE in Hesse and a member of the party's state board.

Stein was a city councilor in the city ​​of Fulda . In the state elections in 1950 he was elected as a member of the Hessian state parliament, to which he was a member until 1958. From October 11 to November 7, 1953, he was first deputy chairman and then until the end of the third legislative period chairman of the parliamentary group of the GB / BHE.
