Klaus Taubert
Klaus Taubert (born March 26, 1940 in Walschleben ; † January 16, 2019 ) was a German journalist and author .
Life
Klaus Taubert was born in the Thuringian village of Walschleben. He learned the profession of chemical worker . He began his journalistic career at the age of 18 as a spokesman in the train radio studios of the Deutsche Reichsbahn , then worked as a company radio and responsible company newspaper editor, as local editor of the Thuringian daily newspaper Das Volk (today: Thüringer Allgemeine ) and at the age of 22 was the youngest editor-in-chief of a district newspaper in Apolda . From 1965 he was a reporter, news chief and deputy editor-in-chief of the General German News Service . He worked u. a. as a business and science journalist as well as a reporter for the government at home and abroad. He holds degrees in journalism and social science studies . Taubert was a member of the SED until the end of 1989 . From 1990 he worked for the Burda Verlag for ten years , where he was an East German founding member of the SUPERillu editorial team. In his internet blog he later published more than 200 articles, mainly on contemporary German history and the present.
He last lived in Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf near Berlin .
