Kleinbucha is a district of Eichenberg in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Kleinbucha is located off the country in a high valley, located north of the heights of Hexengrund in heavily cropped terrain . It is 6.5 kilometers to the federal highway 88 as the next main connection. The remote settlement served to ward off attacks and to cultivate and use the cleared higher areas.

The natural location also has many special features. In 2005, the Heilinger whitebeam on the Lederberge was declared a natural monument by a regulation .

History and sights

The place was first mentioned on September 7, 1358. Today the village belongs to the administrative association Südliches Saaletal . There is a running fountain in the village and the church has a rare small organ. There is a war memorial for those killed in the First World War on Dorfstrasse.

The Schauenforst castle ruins are 4 km away. To the north behind the mountain is the former Martinsroda Vorwerk .
