Justus H. Ulbricht

Justus H. Ulbricht (born December 22, 1954 in Coburg ) is a German historian .

Life

Ulbricht studied history , German literature and education in Tübingen and was admitted to the Philosophical Faculty of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in 2006 with the dissertation “German Religion” and “German Art”. Intellectual search for meaning and cultural identity constructions in "Classical Modernism" for Dr. phil. PhD. The work was reviewed by Lutz Niethammer , Jürgen John and Lucian Hölscher .

From 1995 to 2009 he was a research assistant at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, among others . From 2011 to 2013 he was managing director of the Research Center for Modern Regional History at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and then worked as a freelance researcher in adult education and in the field of cultural history for the Saxon State Center for Political Education , among others . Since August 1, 2016, he has been the managing director of the Dresden History Association , succeeding Hans-Peter Lühr, in charge of the Dresdner Hefte . He published numerous works; so he is together with Uwe Puschner and Walter Schmitz editor of the handbook on the völkisch movement 1871-1918 .
