Reviews

The film is Marc Schaumburg's cinema debut. In the opinion of the film portal Filmdienst, he succeeded in “some beautiful, pointed scenes”, but overall the film had a hard time finding the right tone. Describing Filmgazette.de which rated the film two out of ten stars, like this: "The fact that the film for the needs of his characters only so interested when he evaporating them placeholders of any necessary drama, already evokes the abstruse (in the game mostly solved by hopeless overacting) alternation between filth and fears. "Filmstarts writes:" Kleinstatthelden fails because of the interplay of bumpy content and hackneyed staging and in the end is nothing more than an inexperienced, small and in the bad sense harmless film that is in the evening program of the third party would have found a better home than on the big screen. ”The film is rated with one of five stars.

The film portal Filmdienst complains that the male leading actors are completely overdrawn as idiots and literally writes: “The filmmaker gives the female characters a little more charm; that supports the impression that the film cannot really choose between a loud comedy farce and subtle tragic comedy - a somewhat uncertain finger exercise, which admittedly has its strong points. ”On the other hand, the successful soundtrack is praised by most critics.
