Climate Alliance Cities Switzerland
16 cities in Switzerland have joined forces to form the Climate Alliance Cities Platform (KBSS) in order to pursue an active climate protection policy. The association, which has existed since 1995, is spread across all cantons .

Goals and projects
The goals are:
- Information on the amount of greenhouse gas - emissions on their territory and control of development
- Exchange of experiences and joint efforts for a future-oriented municipal energy and transport policy as well as for sustainable procurement
- Support of the indigenous peoples in their endeavors to preserve the tropical and subtropical forests as a basis for life
- exemplary municipal environmental and energy policy
In the Schaffhauser Memorandum on February 28, 2002, the KBSS laid down the common principles and priorities for action. The goals of the KBSS are anchored in this memorandum.
