The Klinikverbund St. Antonius und St. Josef GmbH is a non-profit hospital operating company based in Wuppertal . The society is an institution of the Cellitinnen Foundation for St. Mary in Cologne . It was founded in July 2009 and today has 522 beds in three hospitals.
Facilities
The hospitals are located in Wuppertal. The parent company and administrative headquarters is the Petrus Hospital, built in 1899 in Wuppertal- Barmen . The company's main focus is on acute and rehabilitation areas.
Petrus Hospital
In Peter's Hospital in Wuppertal- Barmen there are the departments of Internal Medicine ( Hematology / Oncology , Gastroenterology , Pulmonology , Cardiology, Nephrology), surgery ( general surgery , trauma surgery , thoracic surgery and vascular surgery ), geriatrics with geriatric rehabilitation , radiology and radiation therapy . The Petrus Hospital also has an oncological center, a colon cancer center, an age trauma center, a trauma center and a lung center.
St. Anna Clinic
The departments for gynecology and obstetrics , ENT , coloproctology and plastic and aesthetic surgery were in the St. Anna Clinic in Wuppertal- Elberfeld (formerly the Landesfrauenklinik, then Vogelsangstrasse Clinic until 2011) until the end of May 2016 . After the takeover, the gynecology and obstetrics department moved to the Helios Kliniken Wuppertal.
The St. Anna Clinic is currently established as an ear, nose and throat clinic and is supported by the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Head and Neck Surgery.
St. Josef Hospital
The St. Josef Hospital in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, also known as Kapellchen, has specialist departments for rheumatology , orthopedics , hand surgery , spinal surgery, arthroscopy , pain therapy and geriatrics. In 2019, the house was expanded to include a central emergency room as well as specialist departments for surgery (general and trauma surgery) and internal medicine (pulmonology and gastroenterology).
Other facilities
In addition to the three hospitals, the St. Antonius and St. Josef Clinic Association also includes the Regional Therapy Center (RTZ), the Academy for Health Professions (AfG) and the Medical Care Center MVZ Medi-Wtal.
